Four University Center Marketing Group student employees took second place at Startup Weekend Missoula.

Amber Gauthier, Mackenzie Enich, Sarah Beals, and Taylor Gauthier worked with Alex Alviar, Craig Koller, and Jordan Goldsmith to start Tampout, a startup business selling feminine hygiene products to women in the United States and using profits from those sales to donate a culturally sensitive equivalent to women in developing countries.

Startup Weekend Missoula, held March 7-9, is a weekend-long, hands-on experience where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas are viable. Startup Weekend Missoula is one of thousands of events worldwide sponsored by Seattle-based non-profit organization Startup Weekend.
