Shine a Light on Mental Health Week

Shine a Light on Mental Health webtile

February 13 - February 17, 2017

Shine a Light on Mental Health Week is a week dedicated to eliminating stigma, raising awareness, and providing information about mental health issues. The Student Involvement Network (along with the Curry Center, the UM “Active Minds” chapter, and NAMI Missoula) will provide open discussions, trainings, activities, displays and art pieces to help students and community members navigate the conversation and bring mental health issues “into the light”. This week will bring the Missoula community together to discuss difficult topics while providing resources, information, and wellness activities to inspire hope and positive change.

Community groups are encouraged to attend the week’s events and/or to hold events of their own during Shine a Light on Mental Health Week. If you would like to be involved or would like more information about the events, please contact Tessa Feemster, Student Leadership Coordinator at the Student Involvement Network by phone at 243-5776 or by email at tessa.feemster@mso.umt.edu.
