Since 2001, The University of Montana has hosted an annual conference on Undergraduate Research, organized by the Undergraduate Research Committee in collaboration with the Davidson Honors College, and graciously sponsored by the President and the Provost. UMCUR provides a great opportunity for undergraduates of all majors to present their research and creative scholarship in a public forum. The conference is free and open to the public. All members of the UM campus community are encouraged to attend and participate.
The day-long conference offers opportunities for University of Montana students of all majors to present their research and creative scholarship through oral presentations, posters, performances, and exhibits. In addition, students are welcome to organize group presentations, where students within or across disciplines present roundtable discussions on their collaborative and interdisciplinary research activities.
Awards for the top oral presentations and the top posters will be made in five different areas:
UMCUR will be held on the third floor of the University Center.
It is our intention to accommodate every student who wishes to participate. Creative scholarship, exhibits, readings, and performances are quite welcome, along with research presentations in all disciplines. The Undergraduate Research Committee will review all submissions and offer training sessions designed to help interested students prepare their presentations and posters prior to the conference.
Submissions are not being accepted at this time.
This year's UMCUR is organized in conjunction with the Graduate Student and Faculty Research Conference held Saturday, April 12 in the University Center.
