Mountain Computer Music Collective
The facilities of the Mountain Computer Music Collective include an 8-channel surround Studio, used for computer music composition and recording sessions, a 4-channel surround Workstation, for computer music projects, and a teaching Lab, with twelve computer stations. Concerts are held at the Music Recital Hall, Phyllis Washington Park Amphitheater, and Masquer Theatre.
Studio

The studio equipment consists of a Power Mac G5 Quad-Core computer, running Peak, SoundHack, Digital Performer, Absynth, Kontakt, MaxMSP, Pd, Csound, SuperCollider, and ProTools software, with MOTU 896 and Digidesign HD 192 I/O audio interfaces, and a MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV MIDI interface. An electronic piano, synthesizers, a MIDI guitar, a percussion pad, an electronic wind controller, fader boxes, a foot pedal controller, and a joystick are available for audio and MIDI instruments and controllers. Audio from the computer and instruments runs through a Mackie 24*8 mixer, eight Event 20/20bas studio monitors, and two Event 20/20 S250 subwoofers. Concerts and sessions are recorded with microphones, hung in the Music Recital Hall, and a cable snake, to the Choral Rehearsal Room, connected to the Studio mixer.
Workstation

The Workstation includes a Power Mac G5 Quad-Core computer, running the same software as the Studio computer, with a MOTU 828 audio interface, and a MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV MIDI interface. An electronic piano, synthesizer, fader box, and joystick are available for audio and MIDI instruments and controllers. Audio from the computer and interfaces runs through a Mackie 1604 mixer, four Event 20/20bas studio monitors, and an Event 20/20 S250 subwoofer.
Lab

Each of the twelve stations in the Lab contains a Power Mac G4 computer, running Sibelius and the same software as the Studio and Workstation computers, and an electronic piano connected to a M-Audio MIDISport MIDI interface.
