2016-2017 Studio Series

The Studio Series is our “second season”: it allows students, faculty and staff the opportunity to study alternative and innovative scripts and choreographic concepts freed from the constraints and costs of a fully produced event. These three performances are comprised of a theatre studio show and both programs of Dance New Works.

April 5-9, 2017  /  Masquer Theatre

A delightful and poetic satire, The Madwoman of Chaillot has been a beloved fixture of world theatre since its premiere in the 1940s; its commentary on the absurdities of rampant capitalism is perhaps more prescient today than ever.

May 2-6, 2016  /  The Open Space

Dance New Works provides opportunities for students, faculty, and guest artists to experiment with new dance concepts and ideas in choreography. Presented in two alternating programs, choreography is supported by lighting designs created by the School’s Design & Technology students.
