Welcome to UMentoring!

Welcome to the UMentoring Program. The Quality of Work Life Council created this program, in cooperation with Staff Senate,  for all employees to share expertise and information across campus. This is an informal mentoring program.

President Bodnar has stated that he deeply believes in the principle of "mission first, people always" to guide our work and our decision-making and has provided this statement regarding the UMentoring program.

“I’ve been fortunate to have benefited from many great mentors throughout my career, and I believe each employee at our university should have an opportunity for professional development, advancement and to realize their full potential. My thanks to the Quality of Work Life Council for creating UMentoring. I hope many of you will participate in this opportunity.

President Seth Bodnar

We would encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to either share your knowledge and skills with others (mentor) or seek out someone who may be able to guide you with a challenge or mentor you in professional development to step up to the next level (mentee). Mentoring has long been recognized as a powerful tool in career development.

We will help provide initial contacts based on interests. There is no predetermined time for the mentoring to last. It might be one informal mentoring/training session or a longer term mentoring commitment between the two of you. We have provided pages and links to guide you in your role in this program.

We would like to thank Dining Services for their donatiion of 40 coffe cards to our first 40 participants to meet their mentor/mentee over coffee.

NOTE: Registration is currently closed. We will be re-opening this at a later date, possibly May. Please check back with us. We are excited that you are interested in UMentoring

(Closed)Registration is simple and is found here UMentoring

Thank you for your interest in UMentoring!

Thank you, President Bodnar, for promoting a stronger, more cohesive campus
that will make us a better, more vibrant University.
