For UM, For Us Campus Campaign
As a member of UM’s faculty and staff you are The University of Montana’s strongest asset! You work to make the University great, often going above and beyond to contribute your time and energy. Your hard work matters to our students, our alumni and our entire community.
Your gift to “For UM, For Us: A Faculty and Staff Campaign for The University of Montana” also matters at any level. Whether you can give $5, $50 or $5,000, every gift counts and will make a difference on this campus-a difference for UM and for us.
For UM
- Your gift matters for more than 14,000 reasons-our UM students. Your gift will help provide support for scholarships for deserving and talented students; undergraduate research that encourages creativity and exploration; classroom equipment and technology that gives UM students an edge above the rest in the professional world; and numerous other programs and opportunities.
- Gifts from faculty and staff demonstrate to alumni, parents and friends that you believe in the mission of The University of Montana. When those who are closest to the University support it, others are encouraged to do the same.
- Your gift increases the overall participation rate of faculty/staff who donate back to UM. If this year’s goal of 20% participation is reached it will be a powerful statement to others that UM’s faculty and staff are proud to support their own institution.
For Us
- Your support provides staff with professional development opportunities while giving faculty the ability to travel and present at various conferences, bringing well-deserved attention and recognition back to our Montana campus.
- You can direct your support toward any area on campus, whether it is your own department, the Mansfield Library, or Grizzly Athletics. Your support goes where you want it, helping you to make a difference for the area at UM that inspires you most.
- As faculty and staff you are not only recognized for your dedication and devotion to the University, but as a donor to UM as well-your name will be listed in special thank you advertisements in the Kaimin and the Missoulian, showing your peers and the Missoula community that you have personally invested in UM.
Representatives from various departments across campus, led by Chair James Laskin, Physical Therapy, will serve as leaders of the “For UM, For Us” Campaign and will contact their colleagues throughout the months of September and October to encourage their support for UM. If you are interested in joining the effort as part of the campaign team please contact the Foundation at ext. 6209.
All gifts to the “For UM, For Us” Campaign are important, regardless of amount, and will make a difference on the UM campus.
