Gallery of Visual Arts to Display Faculty Artwork

The public is invited to view works created by UM School of Art faculty when the annual Art Faculty Exhibition opens Tuesday, Sept. 6, in UM's Gallery of Visual Arts. There is no charge for the exhibition, which runs through Sept. 27. Read more

Fall Volunteer Fair at UM Sept. 6-7
The UM Office for Civic Engagement will hold the annual Fall Volunteer Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 6-7, in the University Center Atrium. Read more

'Know Your Rights' Presentation Sept. 7
UM will offer a presentation for international students and scholars titled "Know Your Rights" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7,in the University Center Theater. Read more

The World Affairs Council of Montana will sponsor two lectures at UM to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Read more

Writing Wild: The Adventures of Jack London

Montana Repertory Theatre Fall Show Opens Sept. 8

The Montana Rep announces the opening of this season's touring show, "Writing Wild: The Adventures of Jack London." Read more
Traffic Improvement Project Near Campus Now Open

Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians will find the area around the Madison Street Bridge and the north entrance to the UM campus safer and easier to navigate now that the Arthur Avenue traffic improvement project is open. Drivers are encouraged to pay extra attention to new signs and signals and to lane markings. Forum Events Feature Experts on Environmental Policy
The autumn semester Natural Resources and Environmental Policy Forum at UM begins at noon Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Law Building Room 101. Australia National University's Carina Wyborn will present "Connectivity Conservation in Australia: The Science and Values of Large Landscape Collaboration." All forum series events are free and open to the public. Read more

UM volleyball
UM Volleyball 1-1 Heading into North Dakota Classic

 

Montana is 1-1 after splitting two matches Aug. 26 at Temple University's tournament in Philadelphia. The Grizzlies lost in straight sets to tournament champion South Carolina in the afternoon, then downed Stony Brook 3-1 that evening. The tournament was cut short so teams could depart the area before the arrival of Hurricane Irene.

 

The season continues this weekend at the two-day, four-team North Dakota Classic in Grand Forks, N.D. Montana and North Dakota will be joined at the tournament by Wisconsin-Green Bay and Southern Utah.
