UM, Grateful Nation to Unveil Fallen Soldier Memorial Nov. 4 

Grateful Nation Montana

UM and Grateful Nation Montana will dedicate a memorial to Montana troops who have died in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. The Fallen Soldier Memorial, located along historic Memorial Row on the northeast side of campus, features five larger-than-life bronze statues by Lincoln artist Rick Rowley. Take Back the Night March, Rally to Protest Interpersonal Violence

The UM Women's Resource Center will host the annual Take Back the Night march, which begins at 4:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Grizzly Bear statue on the UM campus and ends with a rally and reception at 6 p.m. in Caras Park. The event is free and open to the public. Read more

UM Earns Grant for Special Education 

UM has received a five-year, $1.25 million grant to provide in-depth preparation and training for special education teachers in the state. Read more

BBER Wins Publications Awards
The UM Bureau of Business and Economic Research has earned three national Awards of Excellence in Publications. Read more

The UM Folklore Society will host its annual Town and Gown Dance from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, in the University Center Ballroom. Read more

GSA Beer and Wine Festival Tonight in the Adams Center
The Grizzly Scholarship Association will host the Montana Wine and Beer Festival from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the Adams Center at UM. Read more

The Montana cross country teams will compete at the 2011 Big Sky Conference championships Saturday, Oct. 29, in Pocatello, Idaho. Read more
Griz Spikers Take Down Northern ColoradoUM volleyball

The Montana volleyball team knocked Northern Colorado out of the Big Sky Conference lead and situated itself into postseason discussion with a 3-2 victory on Oct. 22 over the Bears at the West Auxiliary Gym. Read more
