GSA Commits $500,000 to UM Athletic Facility Improvements
Academic Center
The Grizzly Scholarship Association's State Board of Directors voted unanimously at its recent meeting to commit $500,000 in matching funds to the athletic facility improvement project at UM. 
The plan calls for the construction of a new student-athlete academic center, renovation of the weight room and locker room, and the installation of stadium lights.
111th Brawl of the Wild
Celebrate Griz-Cat Tradition at Satellite Parties

From Massachusetts to Alaska and Texas to Florida, thousands of UM alumni and friends will gather at more than 80 different locations to watch one of the greatest rivalries in the nation: the annual Griz-Cat football game affectionately known as the Brawl of the Wild. Read more

The works of two of the state's most prominent early 20th century artists will be displayed at the Montana Museum of Art & Culture at UM starting Friday, Dec. 2. Read more

Students Plan Holiday Art Show, Sale

Art lovers can view student work and purchase holiday gifts at the 26th Annual Holiday Juried Show and Sale Dec. 8-10 at UM. Read more

Attorneys Offer Presentation on Patent Law

UM invites local researchers, entrepreneurs and business owners to a presentation on how to navigate provisions of a recently enacted federal patent law. Read more

Grad Student Wins Award for UM Map
A graduate student at UM recently won a national award for an interactive campus map he created. Read more

UC Art Fair
Holiday Art Fair in University Center Dec. 1-3

UM will host the 2011 Holiday Art Fair Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 1-3, in the University Center. The hours for the fair are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The art fair will feature unique hand-crafted art from local and regional artists, as well as live music and door prizes. The event is free and open to the public. Read more


Raffle Tickets Available for Student-Built Custom Home

Raffle tickets are on sale now for a student-built home in Missoula. Tickets cost $100, and 4,000 are available for the drawing to be held in fall 2012. The home is being built by participants of the Building Futures Program, a community partnership bringing together UM's College of Technology, the Missoula Building Industry Association and the Flagship Program to teach area students the construction profession. Read more

Spikers End Season at Home

The Montana volleyball team will conclude its 2011 season this weekend with home matches against Idaho State and Weber State on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-19. Read more

Brawl of the Wild Saturday

The seventh-ranked Grizzlies will play their regular-season finale against the top-ranked Montana State University Bobcats at 12:05 p.m. Saturday Nov. 19, in Bozeman. Read more

The Montana women's basketball team made an impressive regular-season home debut on Nov. 16 with a 76-45 victory over Montana Tech. Read more


Harriers Come Up Short
The Montana cross country teams struggled to 16th-place finishes in the men's and women's races held Nov. 12 at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships in Provo, Utah. Read more

Griz Squeak Past Great Falls
Guard Kareem Jamar recorded his first career double-double as the Grizzlies struggled to a 60-59 home win Nov. 14 over the University of Great Falls Argos. Read more
Stanford Stops Montana
The Montana soccer team's magical postseason run came to a close Nov. 11 with a 3-0 loss to No. 1 Stanford in the opening round of the 2011 NCAA Division I Soccer Championship. Read more
