Easter Eggstravaganza

The University of Montana’s flagship campus in Missoula produces an educated, aware and trained citizenry for the state of Montana and beyond. In addition to educational and research endeavors, UM is an integral component of the Missoula community, providing a gathering space for all Missoulians.

The 2015 Easter Eggstravaganza is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, on the UM Oval.

Children ages 9 and younger are invited to join the Easter Bunny and UM mascot Monte to search for more than 50,000 pieces of candy and eggs filled with prizes and certificates for UM experiences. One lucky kid in each age group (0-2, 3, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-9) who finds an egg with a special coupon will win a brand-new bicycle. Grab your Easter basket and join the fun.

The 2015 event nearly was canceled until Garden of Read’n stepped up as the organizer and underwriter just a mere two weeks out. Businesses or individuals interested in making in-kind donations, in the form of prizes or certificates, are encouraged to call Garden of Read’n Manager Kiomi Glenn at 406-728-3032 or email kiomi@gardenofreadn.com. Each year, the top prize in each age-section is a certificate for a bicycle. Organizers are looking for an individual or businesses to either donate or underwrite the cost of purchasing a tricycle, and three age-group specific bicycles.
