GSA Commits $500,000 to UM Athletic Facility Improvements
|
The Grizzly Scholarship Association's State Board of Directors voted unanimously at its recent meeting to commit $500,000 in matching funds to the athletic facility improvement project at UM.
The plan calls for the construction of a new student-athlete academic center, renovation of the weight room and locker room, and the installation of stadium lights.

Celebrate Griz-Cat Tradition at Satellite Parties
From Massachusetts to Alaska and Texas to Florida, thousands of UM alumni and friends will gather at more than 80 different locations to watch one of the greatest rivalries in the nation: the annual Griz-Cat football game affectionately known as the Brawl of the Wild. Read more

Holiday Art Fair in University Center Dec. 1-3
UM will host the 2011 Holiday Art Fair Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 1-3, in the University Center. The hours for the fair are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The art fair will feature unique hand-crafted art from local and regional artists, as well as live music and door prizes. The event is free and open to the public. Read more

Raffle Tickets Available for Student-Built Custom Home
Raffle tickets are on sale now for a student-built home in Missoula. Tickets cost $100, and 4,000 are available for the drawing to be held in fall 2012. The home is being built by participants of the Building Futures Program, a community partnership bringing together UM's College of Technology, the Missoula Building Industry Association and the Flagship Program to teach area students the construction profession. Guard Kareem Jamar recorded his first career double-double as the Grizzlies struggled to a 60-59 home win Nov. 14 over the University of Great Falls Argos. Read more

The Montana soccer team's magical postseason run came to a close Nov. 11 with a 3-0 loss to No. 1 Stanford in the opening round of the 2011 NCAA Division I Soccer Championship. Read more
