UM Transportation Breaks Ridership Record on First Day of Semester
The campus bus service provided by the Associated Students of UM gave a record number of rides on the first day of spring semester. Six buses that were on routes gave 3,744 rides on Jan. 23. Read more

UM Creates Retirees' Association
UM recently created its first Retirees' Association. The association will provide all UM retirees the opportunity to remain involved with the University community through a variety of specially designed activities, events and service opportunities. Read more

Student Conference to Focus on 'The Many Faces of Leadership'
The University Center at UM will host its annual Student Leadership Conference from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, on the third floor of the UC. It is free and open to all UM students and young leaders in the Missoula community, and lunch is included. Read more

UM to Hold Forum on Sexual Assault Report
UM will hold a community forum from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, to discuss and answer questions about the University's investigation into and report on alleged sexual assaults on and off campus. Read more

Career Fair Brings Employers to UM
UM will host the 23rd Annual Big Sky Career Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the University Center Ballroom, where participants can meet with company recruiters from local, regional, national and international employers. Read more

UM will offer the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday from Feb. 4 to March 10 in Gallagher Business Building Room 209. Read more

Award-Winning Author to Speak Feb. 22
The University Center at UM will host award-winning author Marty Essen on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Essen will present his high-energy multimedia show "Around the World in 90 Minutes" at 7 p.m. in the UC Theater. Read more

A noted conservationist specializing in aquatic ecology, the Endangered Species Act, river management and research coordination will present the first installment of the spring semester Natural Resource and Environmental Policy Forum at UM. Read more

Lady Griz Down Vikings in with Big Second Half
Montana outscored Portland State 49-28 in the second half and shot 49.2 percent overall in a 78-56 victory over the Vikings on Jan. 28 at Dahlberg Arena. The Lady Griz shot 60 percent in the second half, including a 6-for-7 performance from 3-point range. Read more
Griz Survive Comeback Bid, Beat Portland State 69-67
The UM Grizzlies survived a late surge by the Portland State Vikings to hold on for the 69-67 win Jan. 29 and climbed into a share of the Big Sky Conference lead with Weber State. Read more
