Griz Defeat Wildcats 85-66 to Win BSC Championship 
All five of the Grizzly starters scored in double figures and Montana was red-hot shooting-wise on its way to a convincing 85-66 victory over the Weber State Wildcats during the Big Sky Conference Tournament championship game played March 7 in front of 7,042 boisterous fans in UM's Dahlberg Arena.
The Grizzlies will find out who their first-round NCAA tournament opponent will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 11. Read more

UM, City and County to Present at State of the Community Event
The city of Missoula, UM and Missoula County invite all Missoula residents to a public conversation about the state of the Missoula community at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15. Mayor John Engen, UM President Royce Engstrom and County Commissioner Bill Carey will lead the event for the Missoula community in the Montana Theatre in UM's Performing Arts and Radio/Television Center. President Appointed to Homeland Security Council
U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano appointed UM President Royce C. Engstrom to the Homeland Security Academic Advisory Council. This new council, composed of prominent university presidents and academic leaders, is charged with advising the secretary and senior leadership at the department on several key issues. Read more

Update on Sexual Assaults from UM President
Our highest priority as a campus is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for our students. Recent events have threatened that environment due to the reprehensible behavior of a number of individuals who have committed sexual assault. When a sexual assault happens, it is our job to support the victim and remove the perpetrator.
In the most recent events, there is the sense that the University "sat on" information about a sexual assaulter for a week before taking any action. Nothing could be further from the truth. Read more

Women's Tennis Loses on the Road Against Boise State
The UM women's tennis team lost 6-1 to Boise State on March 4 at the Boas Tennis Center in Boise, Idaho. The Griz are on the road against this weekend with three matches in Utah and Idaho. Read more

to NCAA Tournament
UM's Lady Griz will attempt to advance to the NCAA tournament this week when
they play in the three-day, six-team Big Sky Conference tournament in Pocatello, Idaho. Read more

Baker Unanimously Selected for All-Big Sky First Team
Lady Griz junior Katie Baker was named first-team All-Big Sky Conference on March 5 in voting by the league's nine coaches. Junior Kenzie De Boer was named honorable mention. Read more
