As staff members at UM, we tend to get “tied” to our own particular job without realizing there is so much happening on and around campus. What if you were given an opportunity to learn more about what happens here? What if you were given an opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people – people you probably see on the sidewalk now, but don’t know? Would you take advantage of that opportunity?
If you are a full-time permanent classified staff member, the USA Program has been designed to provide you with that opportunity. Although the program will be coordinated by the Office of the Vice President for Administration & Finance, departments and individuals from all of UM are participating in the delivery of the curriculum. With the help of a team leadership facilitator, you will not only have the opportunity to learn the main UM campus but our other 3 campuses as well. There will also be 5 leadership sessions aimed at improving individual and team skills. We think that as you learn more about UM, your appreciation for what it does, how things happen and how you contribute toward its mission will grow.
