There have been few studies of Ashley Creek.  The focus of the major studies on the creek were centered on water quality.  As the watershed group becomes more established, the need for evidence of health of other areas of the watershed will become necessary.  Here are some summaries of  studies that are related to the Ashley Creek Watershed.

1993 Ecology of an Impacted Northern Rocky Mountain Stream - Master's Thesis on the water quality of Ashley Creek.

1987 Study of Ashley Creek by Flathead Conservation District- Use of aerial photos to identify key spots of impact along Ashley Creek.

2000 A return to the 1987 study sites to observe changes- Revisiting the sites identified by the 1987 study to assess changes over elapsed time.

2000 Assessment of Island Unit by United States Forest Service- Assessment of the health of portions of the Ashley Creek Watershed.
