V-Day / The Vagina Monologues

V-Day is a global movement to end violence against women and girls that raises funds and awareness through benefit productions of Playwright/Founder Eve Ensler’s award-winning play “The Vagina Monologues.”  In 2005, more than 2500 V-Day events took place in the U.S. and around the world.

The 'V' in V-Day stands for Victory, Valentine and Vagina.

Take back the Night

Take Back the Night is an international tradition which began in 1976 in Belgium. Women attending the International Tribunal on Crimes Against Women marched together in solidarity, holding candles to protest the ways in which violence permeates the lives of women worldwide. Please visit the official site for more information.

The highlight of Take Back the Night is a march when women walk through the night and reclaim the streets, which for many years have been sources of fear and violence.
