What is a Withdrawal Coordinator?

  • Withdrawal Coordinators are here to answer any questions that you might have prior to making a decision to withdraw
  • Withdrawal Coordinators will help you access resources or make referrals to resources
  • Withdrawal Coordinators will listen to your individual needs/concerns and help you consider all your options
  • Withdrawal Coordinators will assist you through the withdrawal process should you decide to withdraw
  • Withdrawal Coordinators will help you take steps to make returning in the future easier if you decide to withdraw

Kerry has been staff at the University of Montana since 1997.  In addition to being staff, she has graduated from the UM with her Master's in Social Work, bachelor's degree and an associates degree.  This gives her the perspective of both a student and a staff member.  Kerry understands the inter-workings of registration policy and practices, has knowledge of a variety of areas across campus, is able to make referrals to campus and community resources, and has been an academic advisor for many years.  A combination of education and work experience provides understanding of students' mental health issues, addiction and substance use, disability, diversity, suicide intervention, legal issues, conflict/conflict resolution, and many other challenges students may encounter.  Please feel free to ask Kerry questions if you are facing challenges!  If she can't help, she will find someone who can.

Cheryl has worked in Business Services, Student Accounts since 1969.  She has taken an active interest in learning the finer points of the Federal Financial Aid Process from beginning to end.  With the knowledge gained over the years Cheryl can answer and advise on most financial issues related to a student's account and financial aid including the information a student needs to make informed decisions regarding dropping credits and/or withdrawing from school.  Please feel free to ask Cheryl if you are facing decisions that may affect your financial aid.  If she does not have the answer or the information you are seeking, she will find someone who does.
