Writing Center Policies

No-shows:

Students who miss three scheduled appointments lose the right to make appointments for the remainder of the current semester. These students may continue to use The Writing Center during drop-in hours only. If you know you're going to miss a scheduled appointment, use the online scheduler to cancel or give us a call at 243-2266.

Number of appointments per week:

To allow time between appointments for revision, students may not book back-to-back appointments and are limited to 120 minutes of by-appointment tutoring per week.  Limiting each visitor’s number of appointments per week also allows The Writing Center to serve as many students as possible.

Late arrivals:

Please do us the courtesy of canceling if you will not be able to keep your tutoring appointment or will be more than 10 minutes late.  If you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may be given to another student.  To cancel your appointment, use the online scheduler or give us a call at 243-2266.
