Extended Learning Services of the School of Extended and Lifelong Learning (formally Continuing Education) connects the resources of The University of Montana to a diverse audience by facilitating access to educational opportunities through online learning, summer and winter programs, off-campus courses and degrees, and professional development programs.

That's the official version of our mission. And it reads like one. Here's another way of putting it: we help teachers teach and learners learn in almost any location outside the four walls of a classroom or times beyond Fall and Spring semesters. That leaves things pretty wide open, and we think that's how it should be.
