In this session, you will become acquainted with how to use a web based meeting tool to enhance the interactivity of your online course. Participants will develop navigation and facilitation skills as well as determine the process for reserving a session.

December 3: A Taste of MERLOT. Presenters: Tim Tirrell and MSU-Billings faculty
MERLOT is an online learning object repository maintained by college and university faculty across North America. MSUB faculty will demonstrate how they are using the MERLOT content as well as the benefits of belonging to the MERLOT community to improve and enhance instruction in their classes. They will also share some of their favorite resources.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Susan Ko
Susan Ko has been executive director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at UMUC since October 2003. The Center, under the Office of Faculty Affairs, is responsible for providing faculty development for more than 3,000 worldwide faculty, including administration of CTLA 201, the award-winning online teaching training course required for all UMUC faculty teaching online.Dr. Ko is co-author with Steve Rossen of a leading book on the subject of online teaching, widely adopted by faculty development programs nationwide, entitled Teaching Online: A Practical Guide, now in its 2nd edition from Houghton Mifflin. She has frequently given presentations and workshops on the subject of online teaching and learning at conferences over the past decade.
