Extended Courses

Experience educational opportunities that enhance the quality of your career development and performance on both a professional and personal level. Extended Courses offers both academic credit and non-credit courses, programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Course delivery includes face-to- face, online, blended learning, travel, and experiential learning opportunities.

For Professionals

Earn academic credit for teacher recertification and upward salary mobility. Educators can choose from a variety of individual courses that support the most current pedagogy, resources and topics of interest for hands-on application in the classroom. Courses are offered each semester and new listings are added frequently. Formal admission is not required and non-residents pay the same fees as residents. Specialized programs and certificates include Addiction Counselor Training, the Nonprofit Administration Certificate, and the transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Are you offering a course through your school district or other sponsoring agency and want to offer academic credit for participants? Extended Courses creates partnerships with a variety of agencies, organizations, school districts, and academic departments at The University of Montana to facilitate academic credit approval. Explore the process of becoming a sponsor.
