Students must be formally admitted to UM prior to registering for Wintersession courses. For more information about admission procedures and forms, please visit http://admissions.umt.edu.
Wintersession 2010 courses are included in the students' total credit load for Spring Semester. Beginning October 26, students may register for courses offered during Wintersession 2010, January 4-22. Students access CyberBear and select ‘Spring Semester 2010' under term, then select ‘UM-Wintersession' under Campus. Courses require minimum enrollments, and may be subject to cancellation.
For online courses, do not select 'UM-Wintersession' under Campus. Select 'All' or the appropriate 'Distance Learning' choice and look for courses that have section 90 or higher.
Wintersession is considered part of Spring term. Fees follow the regular state-funded fee schedules located at http://www.umt.edu/bussrvcs/studacctserv.htm#fees. Student class status and residency will affect fees, and the tuition flat spot will apply. All fees are subject to change without notice.
The Financial Aid Office determines eligibility for aid that may cover costs of Wintersession/Spring Semester courses. For consideration of eligibility, students should contact the Financial Aid Office in Griz Central as early as possible.
October 26, 2009: Registration available via CyberBear.
January 4, 2010: Wintersession instruction begins.
January 6, 2010: Last day to register, add or drop courses, or change credit or grading options through CyberBear. Students intending to drop/add or change grading option after January 6 must do so through Griz Central, using a drop/add form, by 4:30 p.m. on January 15.
January 15, 2010: Last day for students to pay/finalize in person. Students who fail to pay/finalize by 4:30 p.m. in Griz Central (or by midnight January 18 on CyberBear) will have their registration(s) cancelled.
January 18, 2010: Last day for students to pay/finalize online. Students who fail to pay/finalize by midnight on CyberBear will have their registration(s) cancelled.
January 22, 2010: Wintersession ends.
June 6, 2010: Grades available via CyberBear.
