UDASH Bus Operator

UDASH bus drivers are the most highly paid-student employees at the University of Montana, starting at $16.00/hr. Leadership opportunities are available with additional compensation. Drivers learn how to safely and efficiently operate a bus and are responsible for delivering thousands of passengers safely each day. No CDL is required to apply. Applicants must have a current driver’s license (any state), be at least 18 years old, and enrolled in at least 6 credits at the University of Montana or Missoula College. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening is required as part of compliance with the Federal Transit Administration. Applicants must work a minimum weekly average of 6 hours and a total of 9 hours of special events shuttles that can be driven throughout the academic year.

Summer training classes run from May 13th- June 7th and Jul 22nd-August 16th. There are 8 spots available for each class.

Post-graduation benefits: CDL vehicle experience in conjunction with a UM degree.
