UM Bitterroot proctors Accuplacer tests for students needing the Accuplacer exam for course placement at other institutions.

Scheduling Your Accuplacer Exam

  • Contact your institution to arrange for receipt of your Accuplacer voucher information; be prepared to pay your institution an Accuplacer voucher fee
  • Receive an email from Accuplacer with your test voucher information
  • Schedule Accuplacer exam day and time at UM Bitterroot
  • Pay $25 proctor fee at the UM Bitterroot front office when you arrive to take your Accuplacer exam

HiSET

UM Bitterroot offers the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) (formerly the GED) the first and third Friday of every month, with exceptions for holidays/holiday weekends. UM Bitterroot offers the HiSET exam in both paper format and computer format; when registering for the exam be aware of the exam type. HiSET Fees

  • $15.00 per subject test - ETS fee ($75.00 for all five subject tests). Fee is paid to the Educational Testing Service (ETS) when a student registers for a HiSET subject exam via the ETS online registration system. Currently, UM Bitterroot offers only the paper-delivered HiSET.
  • $5.00 per subject test - UM Bitterroot Test Center Fee ($25.00 for all five subject tests). Fee is paid at the UM Bitterroot front office when a student arrives on the scheduled exam day to take his/her test. UM Bitterroot accepts cash, check, and credit/debit cards. Questions? Office for Disability Equity & Test Modifications

UM Bitterroot students who receive a Verification of Eligibility Letter for Test Modifications from Office for Disability Equity (ODE) are eligible for test modifications. To receive your ODE-approved test modifications complete the following at least three school days in advance of all tests:

  • Download a Test Proctor Request Form or pick up a form in the Student Success Center
  • Present your Office for Disability Equity (ODE) Verification of Eligibility Letter for Test Modifications to your instructor
  • Fill out the Test Proctor Request Form with your instructor; make sure instructor signs the form
  • Your instructor will submit the completed test proctor form to Enrollment Services Coordinator Meri Telin (406.375-0100; meri.telin@mso.umt.edu) who will then contact you to schedule your test date, time, and room.

Make-up Tests

UM Bitterroot students who need to schedule a make-up test or exam must fill out a Test Proctor Request Form and submit the form to their instructor. Time and place for make-up testing are scheduled through Enrollment Services Coordinator Meri Telin (406.375-0100; meri.telin@mso.umt.edu).

Proctored Tests

UM Bitterroot proctors tests and exams for students not enrolled at UM Bitterroot. Test proctor fee is $25.
