- Reviews submissions of surplus property for capital equipment
Asset Acquisition
The process in which assets are requisitioned, approved and purchased. This refers to assets purchased with a 63xxx account.
Capital Assets
Capital assets are high value purchases with a long expected useful life that meets the minimum capitalization threshold price. Assets inventoried regularly.
Surplus Property-Disposal
Assets that have reached their useful life or are non-functional may be sent through the surplus property. Reviewed by asset management.
Surplus Property-Disposal Procedure
Personal Use
No property/equipment owned by the University may be used for personal use.
