Theater

Why a Degree in Theater?

Students often go on to work professionally as actors, designers, technicians, dramaturges, screenwriters, directors, stage/event managers, and theatre educators. Our alumni work across the country and internationally in film, television, and radio, in regional theatres, and on Broadway. Many of our students also go on to teach in K-12 schools as well as in higher education. It is also important to note that our classes offer life skills that are beneficial for people working in all fields. In addition to working professionally as artists, students have gone on to work in many areas outside the arts including law, medicine, business, psychology, social work, and other social sciences.
