Dr. Erin Landguth receives INBRE Pilot Award

Dr. Erin Landguth

In support of her current modeling research of factors that influence children’s respiratory health, Dr. Erin Landguth is pursuing work to improve current air pollution exposure models. She recently received a pilot award through the Montana INBRE program to deploy a particular matter monitoring network at different elevations within a mountain valley community. The intent of this air sampling strategy is to better inform distance-based exposure models of wildfire smoke and winter period residential burning. Existing models do not accurately accommodate the unique topography and meteorology of mountain valley communities.
