Research Interests

1) Study and implement methods that utilize wearable technologies to quantify changes in head and trunk control, postural stability, and community-participation in people with balance impairment, dizziness, or vestibular dysfunction in ecological “real-world” settings. This includes studying vestibular function in people with unilateral vestibular loss, bilateral vestibular loss, multiple sclerosis, mild traumatic brain injury/concussion, as well as general aging.

2) Develop clinical decision making tools and novel approaches to delivering care for people with gaze and postural stability limitations.

Projects

Foundation for Physical Therapy- New Investigator Fellowship Training Initiative (NIFTI) Role: PI

Major Goal: To examine differences in laboratory, clinical, and community-based outcomes in people following unilateral vestibular loss at baseline and over the period of recovery.
