About the Course

The National Asthma Educator Certification & Re-certification Review Course that was scheduled for May 1-2, 2020 in Helena, MT has been postponed to help mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19. Course Goal

Present an in-depth review of asthma education based on the National Asthma Educator Certification Board (NAECB) detailed content outline.

Objectives

  1. Explain trends in asthma prevalence.
  2. Determine individual patient's levels of severity and control.
  3. Evaluate barriers to adherence as they apply to self-assessment and self-management of asthma.
  4. Utilizing problem based learning, optimize a plan of care for patients with asthma.

Note: Although AAE's National Asthma Educator Certification Course is taught by experts in the field of asthma education and is designed to cover the NAECB Test Matrix. AAE cannot guarantee passage of The National Asthma Educator Certification exam following completion of this course.

This course will be offered fully online and is open to all health care providers. Registration is free for Montana residents, but it is still important that you register so you can receive important information about the course.
