Montana Youth Diabetes Alliance (MYDA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening children, teens, and their families as a whole and equipping them with the education that will better sustain a healthy life while living with Type 1 diabetes (T1D). The life-altering diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes can be isolating and overwhelming, adding new and critical things to an individual's daily routine. Day-to-day diabetes management requires the interaction of the entire family, from checking blood sugar, counting carbohydrates, dosing insulin, adjusting for physical activity, and supporting mental health. MYDA supports all T1D families in Montana by providing year-round educational opportunities and resources at events such as our yearly summer camp and Family Retreat. In addition, MYDA also provides out-of-pocket reimbursement for self-management T1D-related expenses.
For more information, visit the Montana Youth Diabetes website.
