Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing for Students

UM sophomore Cheyenne Engstrom (left) swabs her nose as a member of the Montana National Guard prepares to receive her sample during asymptomatic testing on Jan. 8.

Dear Students,

For the next two weeks, students can participate in voluntary asymptomatic testing for COVID-19. Free asymptomatic testing is being conducted in the University Center and uses the BinaxNOW Ag Card, with results available in approximately 15 to 30 minutes.

Schedule your appointment through Griz Hub. While the appointments are 30 minutes, the actual test only takes about five minutes, and you can show up at any time within that 30-minute window. The test is supervised but self-administered, with a nasal swab of the lower nostril. Sign up for a slot and then come to the UC with your photo ID.

Please note this test is for asymptomatic individuals only. If you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, please call Curry Health Center at 406-243-2122 to arrange for a test.

All students are encouraged to take advantage of this testing opportunity. Testing is available now through Jan. 22, except for Monday, Jan. 18, when campus offices are closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
