We are offering a variety of different programs designed specifically with UM student needs in mind. Please use this online request form to submit your request.

We will continue to offer in-person and virtual programs. Our programming is for all UM affiliated programs and departments including but not limited to classrooms, residence halls, & student groups. We are now offering a variety of program delivery modes to meet the needs of in and out of the classroom requests. Programs can be requested for 10-60 minutes and the format of education is also your choice.

Program Options

Alive & Aware –Mindfulness

Description: This program will define what mindfulness is, talk about mindfulness practices, the importance of mindfulness as a student, and give participants resources to the Wellness Office and Curry Health Center to support their mindfulness habits.

LOML Sleep

Description: This program will give students a deeper understanding of the effects sleep can have on their college performance, daily tasks, with a large focus on how it effects your mental health. We will present participants with science backed information and rescores at the Wellness Department and Curry Health Center.

Mind Matters –Mental Well-Being 

Description: This program will define and discuss mental well-being, practices to support mental well-being as a college student, and supply participants with Wellness Office and Curry Health Center resources.

Digital Detox 

Description: This program will give participants the opportunity to take a look at their casual phone and computer use and understand the affects that may have on their mental health. Participants will also learn ways to manage their casual digital use and learn about the Wellness Office and Curry Health Center Resources.

Stressed AF -Time Management

Description: This program defines what time management is and shows different ways to manage your time effectively. This program will also give students Wellness Office and Curry Health Center resources that will be beneficial to time management.

Calming the Stress Response 

Description: This program covers a variety of evidence-based interventions that promote relaxation and stress response reduction techniques that are applicable to the college student. The participants will also receive Wellness Office and Curry Health Center resources

The Failure Is Real

Description: This program opens up the discussion of failure to normalize it and bring attention to the resiliency that all college students have gained through those large and small failures. This program will also dive into what resiliency is and how to strengthen your resiliency. The participants will also receive Wellness Office and Curry Health Center resources

Aromatherapy 

Description: This program gives science backed information on the effective use of essential oils in aromatherapy form. The students will learn different types of essential oils and their destressing effect on body. The participants will also be given resources from the Wellness Office and Curry Health Center.

Party Like a PRO–Drug Use Education

Description: This program will de-stigmatize drug use and bring a science led perspective in understanding how dugs affect your body and mind. This program will also discuss safe drug use and give knowledge of what to do in an emergency situation. This program will also give Wellness Office, Curry Health Center and other campus resources.

Party Like a PRO–Nicotine Use Education

Description: This program will allow for open discussion on nicotine use. We will discuss science backed information on cessation strategies on the use of vaping, cigarettes, and chew. We will also talk about the culture of nicotine use and the support resources on campus.

Party Like a PRO –Alcohol Use Education

Description: This program will allow for an open discussion on alcohol use, safe alcohol use and education of the effects of alcohol on the brain and body. This program will also address what to do in case of alcohol poisoning and other drinking related emergencies. We will also provide Wellness Office, Curry Health Center, and other campus resources.

Condom Bingo 

Description: This bingo program will give light hearted discussion on healthy, happy, and safe sex. The bingo questions range from defining consent, anatomy, STI protection, to the tools offered for protected sex. This Program also offer resources at the Wellness Office and Curry Health Center.

Fueling Your Mind & Body – Nutrition 

Description: In this program we will use the My Plate Eating recommendations and Harvard Eating recommendations and other science led information to demonstrate what healthy eating is. We will address the stigma and culture of food and nutrition to encourage a healthy relationship with food. We also address healthy eating on a college budget throughout the program. The program will have Wellness Office and Curry Health Center resources.

Stressed AF -Time Management

Description: This program defines what time management is and shows different ways to manage your time effectively. This program will also give students Wellness Office and Curry Health Center resources that will be beneficial to time management.

Healthy Relationships and Communication 

Description: This program will talk about what healthy relationships and communication looks and feels like. The participants will be presented with resources from the Wellness Office and Curry Health Center.

Healthy Safe Sex Education 

Description: This program will give light hearted discussion on a healthy relationship with sex. The information we will present range from defining consent, talking about STI’s, anatomy, and the tools offered for protected sex. This Program also offer resources at the Wellness Office and Curry Health Center.

Self-Care – What it looks like 

Description: This program defines what self-care is and they science as to why it is essential to a healthy life style. We discuss how self-care could look for a college student. The information given ranges from setting routines, to down time with your favorite hobby, to mindfulness practices. Participants will also receive resources from the Wellness Department and Curry Health Center.

Physical Self Care 

Description: This the program focuses on healthy ways to move your body and an opened minded way to look at physical self-care. We will also go over the physical activity recommendations and how they can be applied to a college student life at UM. This program provides participants with resources from the Wellness Department and Curry Health Center.
