Testing agencies and accommodations

Testing agencies such as graduate entrance and professional certification or licensure exams require test takers with disabilities to follow their accommodation request process. Each agency sets its documentation requirements. The agency may require updated documentation from a licensed medical provider who can make the diagnosis.

It’s crucial for students to review the testing agency’s documentation guidelines well in advance. Students may need updated documentation to meet the agency’s documentation criteria.

The Office for Disability Equity (ODE) assists students in verifying that they have received accommodations at the University of Montana. In some cases, ODE can't complete a form for you if your disability documentation does not meet the agency’s documentation criteria. Please plan ahead and consult with your ODE consultant.
