Testing agencies and accommodations

Testing agencies such as graduate entrance and professional certification or licensure exams require test takers with disabilities to follow their accommodation request process. Each agency sets its documentation requirement. The agency may require updated documentation produced by a licensed medical provider who can make the diagnosis.

It’s important for students to review the testing agency’s documentation guidelines well in advance. Students may need updated documentation to meet the agency’s documentation criteria.

The Office for Disability Equity may be able to assist students in verifying that you have received accommodations at the University of Montana. If your disability documentation does not meet the agency’s documentation criteria, we will not be able to complete a form. Please consult with your coordinator.
