The physical office of Disability Services is closed. However, we provide services remotely. All modifications still apply for remote instructions.
In order to protect everyone during the COVID-19 pandemic, our physical office is closed throughout Summer 2020 Semester until further notice. We will deliver all of our services remotely until further notice. The DSS team holds all student appointments and communication by email, phone, or Zoom.
To register with Disability Services
Initial meetings with coordinators will be conducted by phone or Zoom. To schedule an initial appointment, contact Disability Services at firstname.lastname@example.org You can call us at (406) 243-2243 to leave a voice message. We will return your call as soon as we can.
Our business hours
Monday -Friday 8 am-5 pm.
Monday-Thursday 9 am-4 pm for student appointments.
To obtain a verification letter
Log in to Accommodate and download your verification letter. If you are unable to find the letter in Accommodate, email your coordinator. To find staff’s emails, go to Meet Our Team.
To request or ensure modifications for online classesEmail your instructors and notify or remind them of your modification requests in a timely manner. CC (carbon copy) your Disability Services coordinator on the email.
Tips for Online exams with test modifications
- Carefully read emails from your instructors through UMConnect Student Email and Moodle. These emails may contain instructions for the exams.
- Students, who are eligible for test modifications (e.g. extended test time), do not need to schedule online exams with Disability Services.
- For those who require a reader or scribe for online exams, you will need an arrangement through Disability Services. Email Testing Coordinator Dahn Ebert at email@example.com as soon as possible.
