Step 7: Adjudication Phase

Step 1: Pre-Hearing Conference

The Chair of the Hearing Panel may convene a pre-hearing conference with the parties and their Hearing Attendants to discuss matters of procedure and logistics.

Step 2: Hearing

Complainant and Respondent attend a live hearing with the Hearing Panel (composed of students, staff, faculty, and the Hearing Chair). During this live hearing, the parties may cross-examine each other and the witness(es). 

Step 3: Deliberation

The Hearing Panel deliberates privately to make a determination on the case. 

Step 4: Written Determination

Following the conclusion of the Hearing Panel's deliberation, the Panel Chair will complete the written determination regarding responsibility. This written determination will be sent to Complainant and Respondent.
