Apply for National Student Exchange
Before beginning your application, it is mandatory that you meet with UM's NSE Coordinator, Kathy Peters, to review exchange qualifications, application, costs, Plan A/B and school selection. After this 15-30 minute Pre-Placement Informational Meeting...
Make a Pre-Application Meeting (30 minutes) with the NSE Coordinator to submit and review the following materials:
- Unofficial Transcript (CyberBear copy is fine)
- Budget Resources Worksheet
- Official Study Plan Approval Form (complete with your academic advisor)
During the Pre-Application Meeting, you will review your transcript for qualifying GPA (2.5+), class standing, course completion and absence of failing grades. Your candidacy will be vetted for absence of student conduct code violations and/or felony convictions. Your budget worksheet will be reviewed to confirm available financial resources, scholarships and financial aid, as well as tuition rate (Plan A / Plan B). Make an In-Take Interview (30 minutes) with the NSE Coordinator to submit and review the following materials:
During the In-Take Interview, you will review your application, program of study statement, input your school choice(s) online to NSE, pay a $265 nonrefundable NSE application fee, and discuss the next steps.
