2021 Outstanding Student Volunteer Award

The outstanding student volunteer will be recognized at the Student Leadership Awards reception that will be held on Monday, April 19th, 2021 at 6:30pm in the UC Ballroom. It is being held as a hybrid event with in-person attendance and virtual attendance. Students who are accepting awards will be allowed to attend the event in person while family, friends, and non-profit organizations will be able to attend virtually.

Nominations for the 2021 Outstanding Student Volunteer Award are closed. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, April 13.

2020 Outstanding Student Volunteer Award

Congratulations to Natalie Temple, the 2020 recipient of the Outstanding Student Volunteer Award! Natalie is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and ensures that the rights of children are protected in court cases. Her nominators from CASA of Missoula praised her work ethic and dedication, as well as her role in planning events and fundraisers for the organization.

Carnegie Foundation's Community Engagement Classification and President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll

UM recently earned recognition from two prominent civic engagement organizations. The Corporation for National and Community Service honored UM with a place on the 2014 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching awarded UM a 2015 Community Engagement Classification. During the 2013-14 academic year, 2,991 students volunteered 221,832 hours.
