National service generally refers to the programs of the Corporation for National and Community Service which engages more than 5 million Americans in service through programs such as AmeriCorps, Senior Corps and the Social Innovation Fund. State and Regional Opportunities
The Governor’s Office of Community Service and the Governor-appointed Montana Commission on Community Service were created in 1993 to promote and expand national service and volunteer opportunities in Montana.
