Augusta Reinhart, a sophomore double-majoring in Political Science (International Relations) and French, won a Killam Fellowship to study French at the Université de Montréal. She will study abroad during the fall 2019 semester. Administered by Fulbright Canada, the Killam Fellowship Program provides an opportunity for exceptional undergraduate students from universities in Canada and the United States to spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student in the other country.

An active Davidson Honors College student, Augusta is a Presidential Leadership Scholar and a member of Mortar Board, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Pi Sigma Alpha honors societies. She is also a member of the Global Leadership Initiative, the Pre-Law Program, and the newly formed Migration Studies Program.

In addition to her scholastic achievements, Augusta has worked on four political campaigns and volunteered with the International Rescue Committee, the Montana Innocence Project, and the United Nations.

In the future, she plans to study abroad again at Université Jean-Moulin in Lyon, France, intern with the United Nations, and continue fulfilling her passion of ending the global refugee crisis.
