Dear UM Community,

Work continues on the Montana Museum of Art and Culture, Memorial Row and the redesign of Lot P. All projects are scheduled to be completed in early fall. The map above shows the closures, changes and planned work, along with approximate dates.

Please note the following:

• A small portion of Campus Drive will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, May 15, through Friday, June 9. Campus Drive will be closed from the intersection with Memorial Row (northwest corner of Lot Z) heading west to the middle of Lot P (access onto South 5th Street East will remain open). Please see the map above for details. 
• Less than a quarter mile of Campus Drive will be closed, but there will be no through traffic during the closure. 
• Traffic heading north on Campus Drive behind Washington-Grizzly Stadium will be directed to turn around in Lot Z. 
• The sidewalk along 5th Avenue also will be closed from the northwest corner of the MMAC through the intersection with Lot M. Pedestrian access to the Kim Williams Trail will be rerouted. Please look for the signs.
• The sidewalk north of the PAR/TV building will be closed after June 5 for reconstruction.
• Temporary taped-off closures will occur along Memorial Row as irrigation, landscaping and other features are installed over the summer. Pedestrian and cyclist pathways will be maintained through Memorial Row at all times.
• In order to complete the redesign of Lot P, the smaller section of the lot south of the MMAC will be under construction. The contractor compound will relocate into the middle of the completed portion of the lot. The new fenced-in compound will be in addition to the fenced construction zone, and will remain from June 5 through August 25.
• Vehicles will still be able to access Lot P from 6th Street and exit on 5th Street, but there will be a fenced enclosure in the middle of the lot.

We realize these temporary closures and changes will create inconveniences, but they are necessary to bring these projects to completion.
