All of our trips teach and incorporate Leave No Trace principles and ethics.
The Upper Missouri River’s Wild & Scenic section has layers of history and beauty. This trip offers a very accessible route of discovery: geology, wildlife, Native American culture, early explorers and the pioneers that followed. The landscape has changed little since Lewis & Clark passed through the Upper Missouri in the spring of 1805. This trip consists of flat water canoeing and some beautiful day hikes throughout the trip.
These trips will be backpacking through various parts of Montana and Northern Idaho. Each day will vary from 5-10 miles with full packs and cooking and camping.
