258.JPGMontana is the fourth largest state in the U.S.  However, it has one of the smallest populations. Montana is famous for its stunning natural scenery and abundant wildlife. There are numerous state and national parks, including Yellowstone and Glacier, and wilderness areas such as the Rattlesnake Wilderness, only five miles or eight kilometers from Missoula. Missoula, known as the Garden City because of its rich agricultural history, is the second largest city in Montana. It is located in the Rocky Mountains. Average high temperatures range between 25.3 F (-3.7 C) in the winter and 85 F (29.4 C) in the summer. The campus is home to the College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate Business Administration, Education, Fine Arts, Forestry and Conservation, Health Professions and Biomedical Science, Journalism, and Law.
