Career Development Student Resources

Career Development Action Plan

Personal and Professional Development course

  • For scholarships, students consider the big picture of what it means to be a scholar, passions and goals, and how scholarships can help achieve those goals. Students will explore the components of scholarship applications and how to be successful; including curriculum vitae, personal statements, project descriptions, and how to work with mentors. Additionally, students will receive support from their instructors and build a peer-network.
  • For professional development, students will look at what motivates them, what kind of leader they want to be, and what they are interested in learning about themselves and doing after college, whether it’s grad school or their first job. Students will learn how to build resumes, develop a professional online presence, and practice interview skills, networking, and more.
