First Day of Spring Semester Housing

The first official day of spring housing is Wednesday, January 16, 2024, and our Area Desks will open for check in at 9 a.m.

• Brand new for spring residents or residents moving into a new room for spring will check in at their Area Desk to receive their room access card and mailbox key. Residents who are new and do not yet have a Griz Card will also want to request a temporary outdoor access card at check in until they get their Griz Card. Please note, temporary outdoor access cards can only be kept for 7 days, and residents will be charged if they are not returned within the 7 day limit. 
• Residents returning to their same room from fall are not required to check in; room and building access will automatically re-activate on January 16th. 

Winter Break Housing & Spring Early Arrival

Winter Break Housing is offered between noon on December 16, 2023, and 9:00 am on January 16, 2024. If students need to stay at any point during Winter Break, including just arriving early for Spring Semester, they will need to sign up for Winter Break Housing in their myHousingPortal. All Winter Break Housing requests must be submitted 3 business days in advance of the requested arrival date. 

• For new spring students, Winter Break housing is available starting December 29, 2023.

Rates

Staying at any point during Winter Break is an additional cost. Charges will be assessed to the student's account in CyberBear in January. Charges will be determined by the total number of nights requested during the time period stated above. 

• Charges will also be assessed if a resident does not request housing but it is determined that the student accessed the residence halls during the Winter Break.
