Undergraduate Student Retention and Graduation

Retention and Graduation studies track targeted populations of students as they move through their educational experience. The University of Montana tracks three different populations:

First-time Full-time Bachelor Degree Seeking Students - This cohort captures all new freshman on the mountain campus who declared during admissions that they intend to earn a Bachelor's degree and enroll in at least 12 credit hours during the first fall semester. (ask about NF in summer)

First-time Full-time other degree/certificate seeking students - This cohort captures all new freshman admitted into Missoula College who declare they intend to earn an Associate or technical certificate. In addition the student must enroll in at least 12 credit hours during the first fall semester.

First-time Full-time Pre-Pharmacy students - Because Pre-Pharmacy students are not required to complete a bachelors degree before earning their Pharmacy degree, national reporting standards do not require that they be placed in a Bachelor Seeking cohort.
