Eduroam wireless access
Eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions using their home institutions credentials.
How to request
Access to eduroam wireless is offered at any eduroam enabled campus. Here is a map of eduroam institutions.
On the UM campus, eduroam is available at all locations covered by the UM wireless network. When connecting, eduroam should appear as a wireless network option on your device. Connecting to UMwpa or GrizzlyGuest will not connect you to eduroam.
UM students and employees connect to the eduroam wireless network with your NetID@umontana.edu (i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org) and NetID password. Use these credentials anywhere eduroam wireless is available.
All UM students and employees are eligible to use eduroam.
eduroam is available at all times.
Assistance with passwords, configurations and certificates come from the user’s institutional support staff. If you are visiting UM from another campus, your home campus provides your support. If you are associated with UM and traveling to another location that offers eduroam services, contact the IT Central Help Desk at (406) 243-HELP (4357) for assistance.
UM users should configure eduroam on your device prior to visiting another eduroam institution.
