Blackstone Launchpad is looking for UM Students with a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, marketing, consulting, art, event management and much more! We are constantly trying to find candidates interested in facilitating things like BLP events, marketing/social media management, graphic designing, consulting, and club management positions. If you are interested in becoming a part of our team or would like to learn more contact us or apply today! 
Candidate traits/skills we expect:
Professionalism: Must understand the function and morals of a professional work environment. Must be proficient in email communication, Excel, Word, and Google Applications. 
Organization: Candidate can independently take steps to stay organized, can meet deadlines, be on time, promptly respond to digital communication, and efficiently manage time and obligations both inside and outside of the workspace.
Belonging and Challenge: Candidate is looking for a place to stand out and make impact- a place to belong and demonstrate their personal skills and leadership. Candidate also craves challenge, opportunities to try something new, and learn practical skills (especially having to do with entrepreneurship). Candidate seeks to leave their mark on something or leave a legacy.
Independent Self-Starter: Candidate is able to be given a project and independently produce meaningful outcomes with little direction or steps. When work is complete, candidate suggests new projects to management that fit within BLP’s goals.

The Blackstone LaunchPad (BLP) CoB Ambassador has several main duties:  
  • Work with the social media manager to promote BLP and CoB events/programs 
  • Host office hours in the CoB and help aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs connect with relevant BLP programs and resources 
  • Coordinate with CoB Career Development Program and other individuals at the CoB 
  • Host two events in the CoB in conjunction with EPIC Humans and BLP Consultants 
  • Market the BLP to CoB students by giving classroom and CoB club presentations

Research Commercialization Specialist

Job Description
The Blackstone LaunchPad at the University of Montana (BLP) is seeking a graduate student to drive efforts to support research commercialization. Working with the BLP Director and other members of the BLP team, the specialist will help engage with researchers, innovators and inventors both on and off campus exploring their interest in moving their ideas from the lab, or from concept, to the wider world.
The specialist will connect individuals and teams with various programs and resources that can assist them in their journey, including the NSF I-Corps Program, Accelerate Montana Rural Innovation Initiative, Pursue Your Passion, BLP Consulting and Legal Office Hours.
The specialist will also play a hands-on role with the BLP Director in running the NSF I-Corps program delivering training workshops and supporting teams with their ongoing customer discovery.
Qualifications:
·     Intellectual curiosity
·     Effective listening and verbal and written communication skills
·     Problem solving and can-do attitude
·     STEM background or experience preferred but not required
·     Good organizational skills
Hours: 8-15 per week, flexible schedule. Will require occasional evening workshops (4-7pm) scheduled well in advance.

  • Attend weekly team meetings to discuss progress and problems

EPIC Humans Vice President

Blackstone LaunchPad EPIC Humans VP main duties: 
  • Help create and run student events and workshops during the semester and support existing Blackstone LaunchPad events on campus and in the community 
  • Support the President as they raise funds for the group, create a community of mentors, and strategize for the year ahead 
  • Market the group through tabling on the oval, in the UC, in different colleges across campus, and any other place that you think of with high student traffic
