Congratulations to the Class of 2016!
The graduation and hooding ceremony held May 21, 2016 at the George and Jane Dennison Theatre welcomed the Hon. Charles Erdmann, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, as the commencement speaker. Family, friends, and the law school community celebrated as 79 graduates received their degrees. The live stream recording of the ceremony is available on the School of Law YouTube channel.

Professor Cathay Smith Appointed to Public Art Committee
In recognition of her expertise in intellectual property law and art law, Professor Cathay Smith was appointed to the Public Art Committee for the City of Missoula on April 25, 2016. The Public Art Committee consists of nine members serving four-year terms. Members that serve on the committee are selected because of their expertise in historic preservation, visual arts, architecture, or affiliation with a local business association or public entity.

NJC Welcomes Clifford Edwards '74 as Chair on Board of Visitors
Clifford Edwards, who has been on the National Judicial College (NJC) Board of Visitors since 2012, joins the NJC as chair for the Board of Visitors in the 2016 year. Edwards, a Montana native and 1974 graduate of the law school, has been practicing law for over 40 years. In 2000, he provided funding to create the A. Clifford Edwards Advocacy Center, which provides invaluable support for competition teams and the school's Advanced Trial Advocacy Program.

Todd Denison '03 Named Committee Member of National Employee Stock Ownership Plan Association
MOBILE, Alabama – Phelps Dunbar business partner Todd Denison, a 2003 graduate, has been promoted to a member of the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Association’s Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Committee. He is one of 22 members on the committee and most recently served as an associate member.
