Micro-Credential in Nonprofit Leadership and Development

We now offer a micro-credential for nonprofit professionals to advance their skills through leadership and development coursework. This fully online micro-credential is a partnership between the Baucus Institute's Department of Public Administration and Policy at the University of Montana and the Montana Nonprofit Association.

Why should I obtain a micro-credential?
This micro-credential serves an unmet need for nonprofit professionals to obtain additional training in board management, fundraising, and program planning and evaluation. The micro-credential is open to individuals who already hold a BA (in any field) with a 3.0 or higher and subject to course capacity.
What are the required courses?
NPAD 503 Program Planning and Evaluation
NPAD 506 Nonprofit Board Management
NPAD 512 Nonprofit Fundraising
What do I receive upon completing the micro-credential?
You will receive an electronic badge from the University of Montana to post on LinkedIn. Students receive their badge upon completion of the three required courses, a project in each of these courses with a B or higher, and presentation of one of these projects at the annual Montana Nonprofit Association (MNA) conference.
How much will it cost?
$500 per class; student application rate for Montana Nonprofit Association (MNA) Conference (approximately $100)
How do I apply?
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for fall, spring, and summer.
